Zakat Application

On occasions, the masjid receives Zakah funds donated by generous community members. If you are experiencing financial hardship and believe you are Zakat-eligible, please complete the form below.

Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) has enjoined Zakah as an obligation upon Muslims and clarified in Surah At-Tawbah (9:60) who is entitled to receive it - the eight categories are:

  1. Al-Fuqara' - the poor
  2. Al-Masakin - the needy
  3. Al-'Amilina 'alayha - those employed to administer/collect Zakah
  4. Al-Mu'allafatu Qulubuhum - those whose hearts are to be reconciled (inclined towards Islam)
  5. Fi al-Riqab - to free those in bondage
  6. Al-Gharimin - those in debt
  7. Fi Sabilillah - in the cause of Allah
  8. Ibn al-Sabil - the wayfarer (a stranded traveler)
Please note: The masjid only redistributes Zakah funds that community members bring to us - it is not paid out of the masjid's own funds, and general masjid donations are not included in Zakah payments. There is no guarantee that every application can be fulfilled, and there is no set timeline for a response, since it depends entirely on when Zakah funds are brought to the masjid.
